| KAE BROWN was born and raised
in the small town of Vauxhall, NJ. From a young age she always
had a vivid imagination creating different characters in her
head and making up stories to go along with them. KAE
attended school in Union, NJ from Pre-K to 12th grade graduating
in 1994. She then attended Howard University for a while,
but was unable to finish due to illness in her family.
Once she left Howard she began to work full time in a bank
while she tried to find her niche. Always writing poetry
and
short stories, KAE decided to step her game
up a notch and try her hands in writing a full novel. A
dare
that she couldn't do it forced her to work even harder to
produce her highly anticipated novel, "How Blind
is Love... Really?"
The idea for the book came from Eve's top selling single
"Love is Blind." The song was about the strength
and bond between two best friends and while listening carefully
to the words of the song, KAE had an epiphany.
KAE recognizing these strengths and bonds
due to her own relationships, decided to base her book's
central theme around a strong bond between two best friends.
The project was started in 2000 and completed in less then
one year. The project was then put aside while KAE
focused on a full-time job, part-time job, and full time school
at Montclair State University. With people constantly asking
about the book, KAE decided it was time to
go hard with the project to let the world know about "How
Blind is Love?Really?" After being laid off from her
job of 8 years, she decided there was no time like the present.
Her first book released early in 2005 is now followed by
her second book entitled, "Me is Me." This
book is about the struggle of a gay girl growing up in a supposed
straight world.
